Biography
Citrine
Hunter
Family
Citrine's parents are Jungle and Elodea, and she grew up with siblings Copernicium, Brightglade, and Pomelo. At first, they were very close, and did nearly everything together. But Copernicium, notoriously brainy, left the clan to join an elements project, and Pomelo and Brightglade got accepted into the Circle of Druids, leaving Citrine all alone. She vowed not to depend on other people anymore, and began heading off into the silent woods on her own, hunting her own food. While the rest of her family is energetic and disorganized, she is hyperfocused and ready to take on any problem. She doesn't talk very much but, just like the rest of her family, is ever-curious and can find something interesting or beautiful in every little thing that she notices.
Occupation
Citrine soon found herself feeding not only herself but her siblings and a few clanmates who were hungry. Soon, she took up a position as the clan's hunter, and often goes with her father Elodea or herbologist Jodugar to gather plants as well.
Backstory
The glowing green egg slowly spread apart to reveal a young dragon, warm lemon-yellow in color, with sparkling crystalline wings and moss green patterning across her back. Citrine grew up doing everything with her siblings, so when one by one they left her, she vowed not to depend on other people again. She ignored other dragon's efforts to reach out to her and spent most of her time in the woods, hunting her own food because it made her feel independent. She slowly became less and less upset as she grew to enjoy the life she had thrown herself into, and now is happy to be doing what she does. While she misses her siblings, as her job requires her to be fairly distant from them, she wouldn't quit it for the world.
Personality
Citrine is focused and calm, not particularly chatty, but always curious. She can find the beauty in little things, but doesn't like to think of herself as prone to flights of fancy. She's independent and determined, but hates accepting help from anyone. She still sometimes avoids reaching out to people, and likes to think that she can do everything on her own. She's very good at ignoring people no matter how persistent or irritating they are.
Relationships
Citrine sometimes will hang out with Sylvana, the head druid, but the two won't talk so much as enjoy each other's company, and, while she doesn't like to admit it, Sylvana gives her much-needed social interaction as she's alone nearly all the time. She's somewhat estranged from her siblings, but she gets along fairly well with Jodugar, who tries her very best to teach Citrine and is happy to know someone in the clan who isn't afraid of her. Citrine finds her older sister Taranna quite irritating, though she wishes she could know the clan as well as she does. Finally, Citrine is close to Jacynth, whose independent and determined spirit she admires. Jacynth doesn't reach out to Citrine a lot, but Citrine secretly thinks she's awesome. She will often meditate with Romeria, and the two are close friends even though they don't talk very much.
Familiar
She found Amber one day, injured, in a stream. She was too big to be food, and besides, Citrine felt sorry for her, so she took her in and nursed her back to health. Now, the two go everywhere together and do everything together. She carries a waterproof case to keep her in, but lets her swim in the stream whenever possible.
