He could sense the eldritch entity stalking the edges of his consciousness, probing for weaknesses. To touch this impossible power he has trained himself, sacrificed parts of himself and forever changed. Anghard is physically weak but an iron will and tempered heart. Do not open a door you cannot close. This dragon looks down upon those who have lost their will to his God, those that wish to tear open doorways and destroy reality as it is. Anghard is very skilled at dealing with stress of the mind, although his viewpoint tends to be optimistic nihilism. Surprisingly supportive of his clanmates. He is always willing to provide some advice and encouragement. When born Angarad inherited the sliver of connection to these blasphemous powers, same as many of his clanmates of the Eschaton. This clan is a cult walking the razor edge between being empowered by the abyss and loosing themselves to it. Those that stray too far were culled while those that fully turn away eventually die in the inhospitable desert of ice they call their homeland. Fortunately many, like Angharad, became skilled at pleasing these alien powers while still holding a piece of themselves within. These were the guardians of the group, a powerful bulwark that allowed growth and survival within the desolate wasteland that was their home. The establishment of the Mutating Ice Clan has allowed some of the Eschaton to finally relent in their devotion and a few of the cultists can be seen around the clan. Angarad is one such member. Mental health treatment is compulsory for the Eschaton. When not exploring dungeons Angharad is well renown among the Mutating Ice clan as a dragon with many new and exciting psychotherapy theories and practices. He never considered himself and expert but has found himself falling into the role, and has been working more and more often with the psychology experts in the Eschaton to share the knowledge of his cult. The treatments on managing body dysmorphia and forced neurodivergent dissonance is especially interesting to the Mutating Ice Clan |
