Temple Acolyte

Hesper is a gentle, soft-spoken young acolyte whose powerful natural affinity for Light magic contrasts starkly with her fragile health. She is regarded as the most promising future priestess of her generation, with a particular talent for Shade purification spells, but channeling the Light for too long afflicts her with strange fevers that leave her bedridden for days, her body lit from within by a tracery of golden veins as residual magic flows through her body unchecked. Requiem’s healers believe that this may be a rare affliction caused by her part-Imperial ancestry; an incompatibility between her Pearlcatcher physique and the spiritual power inherited from her distant Imperial ancestor. She bears only a few visible traces of this heritage, most notably a pair of golden antlers and several extra long, curling whiskers.
