Biography
Wraith
She/Her - Straight
From a nest of ash, the Wraith emerged
Squeaking and sputtering, a weak hatchling struggled out of the ashes.
Embers danced around her as she squirmed out of the nest. Hard bone
wrapped around her body, adding a layer of protection but at the
same time practically suffocating the young dragon. She let out
a few meek cries, calling for something, anything... but no one
came. Her shallow breathy cries would carry out for miles that night.
- - -
A harsh upbringing made the Wraith a cold creature, despite the
scalding temperatures of The Ashfall Waste. She would light up
the night so to speak, bright wings painting the grey sky and
drawing all attention to her. Though, she was a harbinger of
your death, at least you saw something pretty as she burned
you alive.
The Wraith's existence was a painful one however. Maybe
that was also a factor as to why she caused so much
destruction. Tight bones constricted her body at all times,
making breathing comfortably a difficult feat. She was
always protected, but at what cost? Having to always hear
the sound of her own bones grinding together.

The Smoke Gyre
Crackling flames and dancing embers surround the
Wraith today. It was quiet now. She took slow steps,
observing the destruction she caused; when something
caught her eye.
From amongst the flames, a bird like creature rose. The Wraith
inspected the new life curiously, and the bird inspected her.
The bird known as the Smoke Gyre danced around the Wraith's
head, completely enamored by their creator. The Wraith for the
first time in her life felt content.
- - -
A year would pass by, the Wraith and the Smoke Gyre were to leave
The Ashfall Waste. The Wraith could only associate the place she
grew up with pain and anger. For the first time she felt guilt.
It wasn't a pleasant feeling.
They ended up in a place where the air was clear
and the sky lit up with pink and blue hues. Floating
lanterns danced in a pleasantly warm breeze.
After landing on the the silky gold grass below,
the Wraith allowed herself to relax for the first time.
She and her Smoke Gyre took refuge in a small clan who
took them in despite all the bad. For the first time she
felt grateful.
Maybe they could stay here.
And, for the first time, her bones didn't feel too tight.
It was a pleasant feeling.
