Backstory: Perryn hatched in the Sunbeam Ruins, but one day, toddled a bit too far away from her nest, and ended up in the Tangled Woods.
Like the gullible little hatchling she was, she asked the local dragons for directions. She followed them in the exact wrong way to go, almost landing in the Wandering Contagion. It was then she knew that she was lost.
The Tangled Woods are tricky to navigate and live in at the best of times, and for Perryn, it was the worst. Light dragons are not meant to be in the shadows, and her white scales stood out like a sore thumb. She couldn’t fix the geography of the place in her head, and she kept getting tricked by the locals. “Oh, just around that bend there’s a stream! *albeitadriedupone*” “Take a left, then the second right around the rock, and you’ll approach a bat den *itwasonefiftyyearsagoatleast*”
But when she met Darkshadow, everything changed.
Darkshadow was trusting. Kind. Protective. Everything the others weren’t. She found herself falling for him almost unconsciously, and when he proposed to her, she couldn’t turn him down.
With Darkshadow by her side, she finally found her way out of the shadows. She had no desire to go back to the home she couldn’t even remember, and he didn’t care for the Sunbeam Ruins, anyway.
The Sea Of A Thousand Currents seemed as good a choice as any.
