Waca, almost centuries ago, was once a glorious general from the war. Sharp and disciplined, her soldiers harbored a deep loyalty and trust for their general. Yet, she made a fatal mistake by thinking she could lead her troops through the Wallows as a shortcut. Her soldiers were swallowed by the swamp or eaten by the roots of monstrous trees; she herself fell victim to the Wallows while trying to rescue her troops from the sludge. Sinking down to the bottom of the lake, the Wallow's high concentration was a perfect place for her body to be preserved. Her mental state was worn by the Wallows though, her mind and conscience adrift in the murky lake to rot with her remains. When Austreben dropped the rotting, yet twitching corpse at Caoihme's doorstep, she knew she wouldn't have a chance to ever again tinker with the dead. Against all odds, a confused Waca was soon casually strolling through the Wallows. To protect her mental constitution from the strain of her former memories and the madness that warped her mind, all of the general's former memories were erased. The only thing that seemed to remain from her former life were her lightning quick instincts and innate combat skill. Rena was initially tasked with guiding Waca on the ways of the Wallows, but soon became a close confidant and aid for her healing. Fully healed, Waca now patrols the Wallows, her lion headdress engulfing her head to seem even more ferocious.

Waca was careful to let herself fall for Rena initially; cautious and wary of the too kind Pearlcatcher. But after she felt herself healed, she began to court Rena. Now in a steady relationship, Rena has taken on the role of being one of Waca's pillars.

Waca has been with Delwen for a majority of his life; she isn't sure the little Obelisk realizes it though. Though, she does dote on him a lot even during their hunting lessons, despite Rena's objections. Waca finds it absolutely adorable he wants to be like a lion, like her.
