Biography
Scribe of Horefrost
Organized | Eloquent | Well-read | Dedicated | Meticulous
A warm glow emanated from a set of small candles that were scattered carefully around an organized mess of scrolls and manuscripts. A feathered dragoness sat, hovered over a piece of parchment as the sound of the wind whirling outside whispered throughout the cave. She took a long quill, crafted from a feather from the wings of her Silver Springbok, Auroch, dipped the tip into a well of black ink, and began to write. It read as follows;
"My name is Eviet Gabith, my surname is derived from the names of my parents who now reside with the Lightweaver. I was born into a light flight, loved and cared for until the day came for me to go to the auction block and find a clan of my own. I thought that I would be a Spellweaver and looked for an Arcane clan to take me in, but none took interest. I grew discouraged, until one day a brown crackled Pearlcatcher in satin robes noticed me and introduced herself as Raiya. She was from an ice flight and I automatically thought of the harsh life that those on the floes were said to live. So when she asked me if I wanted her to pay my auction-price I politely declined, knowing that being asked if you wish to be bought is a rare gift. Nonetheless she smiled and told me that she understood, but that if I changed my mind to ask the auctioneer to message the Horefrost clan. I did not think of it, until weeks passed without a single clan looking my way. I remembered her gentle smile and wrote her to come and purchase me, if she was still interested, and days later a letter came in saying simply 'I will send a member of my clan to fetch you.'
It was a week of anticipation before a clan member arrived, but he finally did. He was a strong, beautiful Coatl who introduced himself as Atlapalli, the Commander of Horefrost. I will not lie, i fell in love almost instantly. He paid my price and brought me home to Raiya, the Matriarch. Through word of mouth I pieced together the history of the clan that had become my home, learning of the event that had become known as The Rapture and the tale of survival that Raiya and Atlapalli had endured. I felt compelled to put the story to parchment, to keep a record of the story of my clan. Eventually dragons began coming to me, asking to have their life stories committed to paper. I became the clan Scribe without even trying. I keep the records, history, and lives of everything that happens in this clan.
I have finally found my home, my one true love, and my calling, and I intend to keep them."
