Biography
Beloved Delmire (59) The Rightful Heir (Age 0): Beloved is born to King Kael and Queen Khione. (Age 2): His training begins, specifically in hand-to-hand combat, basic weapons (quarterstaffs), military strategy, draconic history, common, and basic magic (failed). (Age 3): Younger brother is born, training continues. (Age 6): Beloved is introduced to Windchime, a powerful sorcerer hired by his father many years ago, and becomes his apprentice. In reality, Windchime wants the throne for himself and to reunite Myste with Indraleam. This plan has been brewing for many years and began with the birth of Marcius, the true son of Windchime. The sorcerer plants the seeds of discord in Beloved's head and pins him against his brother. Yelling is often heard in the brother’s wing of the castle. (Age 8): Beings training with General Frostbite, an Adamas dragon trained in the art of war. After overhearing a conversation between Windchime and his mother, which results in Beloved becoming aware of his plans, a fight breaks out between the prince and his father. Ends communication with his father. (Age 9): Training continues and anger builds. If he isn’t training, Beloved spends most of his time alone. (Age 10): Masters hand-to-hand combat, basic weapons (quarterstaffs), common, and military strategy; moves on to advanced combat (daggers and crossbows). (Age 13): A major fight breaks out between the brothers, resulting in a sword fight and blood drawn. He is approached by his father and removed from the line of succession. Anger builds and spends most of the time fighting with court members and causing problems. (Age 14): The cook's daughter, Pantheon, develops feelings for the prince and the feeling is mutual. The two spend time together in secret, often running off to the nearby woods. (Age 15): Beloved's anger peaks and, using elemental magic, kills his mother and gravely injures his brother. Beloved is cast out and begins to wander. Before he leaves, the exile claims he will return again and take the throne back from the traitors who sit upon it now. (Age 16): Joins a group of thieves led by Kilgore. He travels through various cities and brushes up on his fighting skills. Beloved begins to develop feelings but leaves before he can act on them. (Age 17 - 19): Finds himself in Indraleam. Confronted by Temptress, who claims to know his past. She tells him she will make him a son to succeed him. Using a strand of his hair and her magical prowess, Temptress creates Mordeyrin. He is a ghostly figure, yet Beloved's flesh and blood. (Age 19 cont.): Beloved boards a ship and lands off the coast of Colitawa. Shipwrecked, he is washed ashore and found by Scorpio and her daughter Athame. The two witches take Beloved to their king, Aleister. Realizing his potential, Aleister commands his son, Siva, to take in the exiled prince and to train him in magic and the dark arts. His training awakens his mother, and she begins to haunt her son. This led to many sleepless nights and violent outbursts. (Age 21): Beloved begins intimate relations with Siva, not romantic, but he helps Beloved let off steam. He becomes one with the forest through a special ritual, making it incredibly difficult to leave the woods. (Age 23): Becomes fed up with his mother and is driven closer to madness. He leaves the forest and breaks the spell tying him there. He goes to scout Ójafnaðr for a cure for his mother's haunting. Unsuccessful. Instead is caught by Baron Rolec, who works for Beloved’s father, and is transferred to an island jail. He is sentenced to life in prison. (Age 24 - 26): Imprisoned in the Iron Fortress Prison. Encounters Windchime again, and the two throw hands whenever in the yard together. One fight leads to Beloved biting off part of Windchime's ear and Beloved losing a few arm scales. (Age 27 - 30): Windchime and the prince are moved to high-security, and Beloved meets Nereus, cellmate. Despite the frigid conditions, the two prisoners become close friends. Beloved receives his tattoos from Nereus. The two plan an escape that involves charming a few wild beasts that roam the halls. Only after losing half of his right horn and many battles can the two break out. (Age 31): The two travel to the Obsidian Place north of Myste in the frozen north. They try to convince the Baroness to help him in his plan to take over Myste. The goddess will only help if she becomes the Patron Goddess of Myste. Beloved complies and is trained in ice and gravity magic by Amara. His mother's curse is broken. (Age 39): Training is completed and Raphael is sent to deliver word of the incoming attack to Gilded and Salenor, spies working inside Myste. Once he is gone, the group begins to make preparations. The Northern forces are led by Beloved and Amara. Other than the spies, Frostbite and Pantheon are considered allies. (Age 40): Beloved and Co. travel to Myste in the dead of night, entering the castle through a hidden passageway. The group quickly seizes power after Marcius is killed.
Beloved is crowned KING
(Age 40 cont.): To secure trade routes and loyalty with the country of Asphodel, Beloved marries the daughter of the Lord of the House of Carrion. This coupling is considered legitimate, and their first male heir will inherit the throne, as is Mystic custom. (Age 41): Beloved and Requiem have their first son and heir to the throne, Alexandros. (Age 42): Beloved and Requiem have their second son, Arcadia. (Age 43): Twins Mary and Avon are born. (Age 43 - 59): 15 year war with Indraleam begins. King Anduin is beheaded by Alexandros and Arcadia is put on the throne of Indraleam. Beloved wrote:
"I was always angry, but the forest finally drove me mad."
Beloved wrote:
Sounds
the scraping of an old sword against stone, the high pitched trill of a violin, a scream, a crescendo Smells toxic smoke, metal, old coins, a fire pit Beloved wrote:
I really don't know what "I love you" means.
I think it means "Don't leave me here alone." Neil Gaiman from Dark Sonnet Beloved wrote:
I get the feeling I've been here before.
A thousand words and every world's a door. The lights go out; I think I think of you, But in these times it's so hard to be sure. There's black blood slowly clotting on the floor, Adhering to the bottom of my shoe. I get the feeling I've been here before. Neil Gaiman from Luther's Villanelle |
