Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this beautiful Guardian wandered a little too far from her home lair (KingVulture, 437722), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Tinuviel loved her old clan, but something she loved more than anything was traveling. She doesn't know what she'll find out there, but she wants to find out.

25.png The first place her travels bring her is a sizeable gathering of tents among other slightly more permanent dens. A great pink-winged guardian greets her at the outskirts, and soon Tinuviel finds herself with a space to set up camp and swarms of friendly dragons of all sizes, shapes and elements coming to say their hello's. Clan Novalis is a place for those just like her, seeking new things and in need of a place to land and rest one's wings. With a warm welcome to settle her heart, she joins the homey crowd and wonders where she might decide to wander, after this.

After a while she grew bored of Novalis and decided to wander elsewhere. She found herself in the middle of a massive, dragon- filled clan. A stone-covered Mirror watches, her beady ice eyes staring down the newcomer. The dragon approaches her. "You are?" She asks crisply, her voice hoarse." "Tinuviel," Tinuviel says hesitantly. The Mirror narrows her eyes. "You're here because..?" This dragon doesn't seem friendly... "I'm a traveler.'' The Mirror grins. "Welcome to the PlagueWanderer's clan. I'm Smog." Smog hisses, shifting the massive rune-carved cairn stone she carries on her waist. "Travelers don't come by often." She grumbles, leading Tinuviel along. This place is strange....

After some time with the Plague clan, Tinuviel decided it was time to move on. She set off north into Dragonhome. Her travels brought her to a massive bazaar; she decided to rest her weary wings in one of the many stores, choosing on a whim one called Cavernous Cafe. The staff were friendly and Tinuviel found herself chatting with a sweetly coatl, who offered her clan as a place to stay while she was in the area once she learned Tinuviel was a traveler. Tinuviel graciously accepted, excited for a warm bed and good company after so long on the road.

Tinuviel left the inn after some time, revitalized and ready for her next destination. She set her sights on a place of lightning and sand and took flight above the clouds, seeking one of the bands of nomads that she knew to roam this desert. Days later, her eyes lit upon a duo of dragonets. One was barely more than a hatchling, and the other was old enough to fly. Their coloring was similar enough that they had to be related.
Tinuviel, worried that these little dragons were lost, alighted on the ground next to them. "Are you all right?" she asked with concern. The littlest dragon blinked up at her with wide, brilliant blue eyes. "Yeah yeah," she answered in a high voice, tilting her head gleefully from side to side.
The older dragon instantly spread a wing over her sister, eyes narrowed with suspicion. "What do you want?"
Tinuviel folded her wings reassuringly. "I'm just a traveler. Is there anywhere near here that you stay?"
"Yeah yeah yeah!" announced the little fae with delight, spinning and scampering over the dune behind her. "Come come come come Kai-wa! Aaaaaaannnnnnnn' you. Come come. Home home home home home!" she sang. "Home this way!"
The older dragon flicked her tail with annoyance. "I guess you can come," she muttered, with a childish lisp she was clearly doing her best to conceal.
"Thank you."
The little fae tripped over her talons into the entrance of a low cave that glowed with warm light from a torch somewhere inside. "Hoooooome home home," she continued to herself. "Kai-wa! Found home, I found home!"
"Good job, Iio." "Kai-wa" made her way slightly more serenely into the cave, lifting her head up high in an obvious effort to look older than she was. "Mum! Daddy! Visitor!"
A young adult nocturne tucked into the corner lifted her maroon head. "Visitors?" she asked curiously. "We don't get those much."
"Viz-eee-tows," the fae practiced quietly. "Vis-eeeeeeee-toes. Vis-eh-toe. Ma'am Vis-e-toe, this is Auntie Wadian! She Mum's best fwiend. Aand Asheeee is Mum's othe' best fwiend. But I think Ashee is hunting. Mum and Ashee are hunting, 'ight Kai-wa?"
"Thith- This's Aunt Radian, one of Mum's best friends," Kaiwa translated with an air of importance. "And my yell-y sister is Iio."
"Yo-yo!!" agreed Iio with delight.
A deep blue Mirror poked his head out of an adjoining cave. "Iio, sweetie, keep it down, I'm writing a- oh! Hello." He cleared his throat, pushing his spectacles up his nose. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Kwyn."
Tinuviel smiled. "Hello, Kywn. I take it these are your daughters?"
"None other. Kaira, Mum told you to stay where she left you. She's going to have a panic attack when she comes back and sees you and Iio gone."
"It was Iio's idea!"
"Yeah! Yo-yo's idee! Mine. Daddy-" The little fae drew herself up to her full height and put on a serious expression that mimicked her sister's. "Daddy, this is Vis-eh-toe. She flied and she pwetty." Iio nodded solemnly.
"It's Tinuviel," Tinuviel introduced herself. "Would you mind if I stayed with you for a few days? I'm awfully tired and this desert is a lot more... deserted... than I thought it was."
"No problem, no problem at all. I'll have to ask Aien- she's with Ash right now, hunting, but I'm sure she won't have a problem with it. We take in travelers every now and again. I will have to apologize for Iio, though. She's been progressing wonderfully with speech, and has decided she wants to use her newfound skills at every opportunity."
Iio demonstrated by breaking into a loud, incomprehensible rendition of a song Tinuviel didn't recognize. Kaira flattened her ears against her head. Radian made a face.
Kywn winced. "Case in point," he explained with a helpless shrug.
Tinuviel laughed. "I think this place will be interesting."

Tinuviel eventually got sick of Iio's singing and high energy, so she flew on. The desert has to end somewhere, right? She thought to herself, unnervingly aware that with each wingbeat, she drew farther and farther away from civilization. A little farther... A little farther...

Flap.

Flap.

Snap.

Tinuviel felt her wing snap, the pain shooting down her left side. With a grunt of pain she felt the blackness surround her a second before hitting the ground.

"Hello, can you hear me?"

Tinuviel was surrounded by black. She couldn't see! She struggled to right herself, and was shocked to feel no response from her body. A sound pierced her thoughts, rattling around her brain until words formed. "No, stop moving! You might wreck it! Dont worry, you aren't dead, you're just in what I call a pocket dimension. I can hear your thoughts, so you don't have to speak. My name is Ali, I'm training to become a Shadow Rep. This is part of my training." Tinuviel wondered how any of this was possible, and where she was. "I'm from Cyboral, a world that is sort of linked to yours. The gods came here first. From what I've gathered from the others, dragons from your world keep being drawn here by energies linked to artifacts hidden somewhere in the woods. It's a long story, nobody but the Priests know it all. Anyway, you're here with me in Cyboral. Your wing is badly damaged. I put your consciousness here so that you could heal faster and there's less chance for death. Don't tell Spiritseer though, he would get mad."

As Ali talked, pictures began flashing in the darkness. Statues of the gods, a large expanse of woods, all the different dragons that had been sucked there by the artifact. "Woah!" Ali breathed. I dont think you were supposed to see the thoughts in my head! Cool!" There was a muffled crash, sounding as if it was miles away. Tinuviel felt a tug in her gut and then...

She was awake, gasping for breath. A young Imperial stood behind a seething Nocturne. "I'm glad to see my apprentice hasn't killed you." He said in a deep, gravely voice. Tinuviel whipped her head around, trying to make sense of where she was. It was a large tent, decorated with skulls and feathers. The Nocturne waddled over to a small makeshift bed, where a Ridgeback laid. She wasn't breathing. "Seriously, Ali? This one too?" He groaned, hurriedly drawing symbols in the air until the Ridgeback catapulted out of her bed. "WhereamIwhathappened?" Her wings flared open, almost whacking Tinuviel in the head. "Ali," The Nocturn chuckled, "Since you put them into Shadesleep, you get to show them around"

Their tour consisted of a medium-size village at the edge of a huge swath of woods. They also toured a large temple where crude statues of the gods were on display. All of them! Ali had laughed at her shocked face, explaining how in Cyboral the elements lived in harmony, often creating mixed clans. At the end of the tour, Ali showed them their room. "It's not much, but you won't need it for long," Ali said, gesturing to the small but cozy room. "Why won't we need it?" The Ridgeback muttered. "Spiritseer paid a spell on you so that you would get drawn back to your home dimmension in the morning." Ali chirped casually and strode out of the room.

Tinuviel's journey took her someplace more grounded in reality, though no less magical: Wanderweg Wood. Here, she was taken in by the matriarch of the Clan, Evernia who showed her around. It wasn't a long stay, as Tinuviel felt the itch to keep moving deep within her veins, but she did enjoy exploring the flowering glades, the crystal clear rivers, and seeing all sorts of dragons. Including other travelers, all of whom had stories of places they had been and dreams they were chasing...or running from. It only further ignited her love for adventure, and after a few good nights of rest, she bid farewell to the kind dragons of the woods, and set her sights on somewhere new...
