He dances like thunder crashing to land, a rhythmic beat of roaring steps, a conundrum of twists and turns, and above all--the grace and flexibility of a butterfly in flight, smooth and elegant, airy and quiet, and only meaningful when he is looked upon by someone who understands.

But no one understands.

They'll clap and they'll say wonderful, marvelous, what grace and what bravado, but they see him as a fleeting petal: beautiful in the moment, but never after. And like fleeting petals, he soon ran out of branches to fall from.

Why take pride in your ability when no one is there to appreciate it? Living in the heart of the Starfall Isles should almost guarantee the praise of talent, but his talent is not one they are after. He dances like one would dance as a hobby--with no passion, no drive, no ambition to be something greater.

(Years ago, he may have been the dragon he wanted to be, all grace, all charm, all the praise in the world--all the friends in the world--but now he is not, for time strips away as much as it heals. Sometimes he looks out at the Windswept Plateau, and dreams of what he could have been in the air of the Windsinger (torrents of endless dance, the gleam of spectators, dragons who understood), instead of the books of the Arcanist.)
