Biography

[Note: Character information refers to their lives prior to The Great Exodus unless otherwise specified. That event is described in this lair's first tab's info, but in short, most dragons of this clan were previously humanoid races on another planet.]

Origin: A Norrovaire (A tribe of Flametouched humans with white skin, black hair and gold eyes.) of the Archveins of Sarvelonath, an area in the northern span of the country of Deiarnia.

Siel's people are not great in number mostly due to the harsh land they inhabit, known for being bitterly cold during most seasons (though their village itself is spared all but mild discomfort). The ambient Flame in their location and what of it their people absorbed over time has seen to their survival: This particular Flame (energy) is warm and thus is able to knock some chill from the air. As it became part of the people as part of the land, they have also developed a resistance to the cold climate. Unfortunately that blessing does not extend to allowing large-scale farming. The cultivating of livestock for food might be more successful if it did not invite many apex predators and their hunters and warriors have had little success fending off significant attacks.

Be it large groups of livestock or large groups of people, both have proved such an attraction to more large-scale attacks from packs of rabid Flametouched animals that rather than attempting to transition their village into a city more able to defend itself (which may have worked but they decided 'large' was not their way), they groom many of their children to become tradesmen and thus spend most of their lives away, often only returning for a yearly celebration or to bring unique goods and food to their families, friend, and the tribe in general.

Siel may have excelled too well, if you ask him, though it would be said mostly in jest. After quickly working his way into the busiest, most vibrant and diverse Trade City in the world, a city-state known as Abregond, it took no time at all for him to gain celebrity status for his uncanny ability to acquire 'anything' anyone requests from him. It has been quite a challenge weighing what illegalized items are worth agreeing to procure because he is far from the underhanded, devious and morally ambiguous sort of merchant that most people with his successes are but he also knows that without some risky business, he could not run a business.

Nonetheless, that also means that he can live the only way that he wishes to: Kindly and willing to do anything for a friend. That eventually was what cemented his place in the thriving city. Second only to trading itself, he is also a clothier and dressmaker, but more than all three of those talents he may best be known for those he has recruited as his hired help: those regarded as naturally ugly or dumb such as the 'mud people' of his country which truly have few merits in any work, those downtrodden, disabled, or any kind of shunned from society... even in Abregond, founded on equality and tolerance.

And thus indeed it means that he partly runs a charity... but to him, it is a family. Those who work with him would give their lives for him, and he would do the same for them. Truly he embodies the selflessness and welcoming spirit that the city was founded upon. That may very well be why if they have caught wind of him procuring anything illegal, they look the other way.

Now that his home and world are gone, he still has his home with his family. He spends much time currently reading about all he needs to know of the various regions and cultures of Sornieth and performs most of the clan's basic trade deals for them, but before he can get too adventurous he needs to relearn of an entire continent. A daunting task... but not one he faces alone.
