Cirilla wanders, and this is what she's forever bound to do. Grieving the loss of her family, she can't bear to stay too long in one place, lest she become attached, and inevitably come to lose what she comes to love. Forever by her side is her companion Regis, the Fae dragon tasked with keeping her out of too much trouble.

"Hatred and vengeance blinded me... but I shall stand before them in humility. I shall remember the expression in their eyes. I hope the memory of those eyes will stop me making a similar mistake."
