Biography
Mariana is the youngest out of Breakway and Neka's three children, and the shyest out of all of them. She grew up under the tutelage of her mother, slowly training to become a doctor while her father ran the clan. Mariana never felt like an equal compared to her siblings, she is but a meek doctor in training compared to brave Cerith and studious Zamilo. But to her surprise, no one ever made her feel like she was worthless. "Without doctors, we'd all be dead way sooner." her father explained to her one night. While a bit taken aback by the slight callousness, this emboldened her to continue her training, slowly and surely gaining knowledge and confidence as the days went by. Mariana's skills were put to the test when multiple dragons suddenly became sick with seemingly no explanation, one of these being Clan Duneberry ambassador Comet. Worried yet determined, Mariana set out to uncover the cause of the disease. Quarantining the sick dragons and taking testimonies from those close to them, the Fae determined that a certain plant was accidentally picked by an unassuming food gatherer and tainted some of the food which led to the disease. She was able to produce a cure and the clan was saved before an epidemic could begin. Mariana was proud of her accomplishment and opened a clinic of her own to continue maintaining the health of the clan. Rhoam is almost the near opposite of Mariana, his bold and brash personality leading to many comedic accidents around the clinic, but at least he's good for carrying supplies to and from the storehouses(Mariana of course doesn't feel this way, she loves the crystal bear dearly).
Personality
Mariana is soft-spoken, nervous in crowds and loud situations, and prefers to spend her time alone either reading or with a few friends and family members. Mariana is quite intelligent and has bounds of knowledge on a variety of things, mostly plants and medicine. Her time as a doctor gave her more confidence when dealing with dragons, especially the less kind and ornery ones. You will see a surprising burst of volume and confidence from Mariana if you question her judgement regarding medicine, for it is something she prides herself on very much. Thankfully, she is purely altruistic and desires nothing besides a happy and healthy clan.
