Gellar is the standing Ambassador of the Clan of the Chimes. However, he often shirks his ambassadorial duties for his more important, spiritual duties- that of being the only known Voice and Prophet of the Unnamed 12th Dragon Goddess. The clan is uncertain whether Gellar is truly delusional, or just a liar. Either way, he appears truly devoted to this Unnamed God, meditating often, and speaking softly into quiet corners. He has recently gained a small following of Pixies- no one knows where they came from, but he has named them all- though how he tells them apart from one another is a mystery - and claims that they are the envoys and servants of his Goddess. Gellar is a stoic, seemingly unfeeling fae, even for his race. Little seems to phase him, and for such a peculiar, controversial figure in the clan, he commands at least a modicum of respect for his cool head and impeccable temper. Where others may lose patience, Gellar remains steady and calm, if a bit preoccupied. So devoted is he to his preaching that he often forgets to eat, and must be reminded by his mate. Despite his obsession with his Goddess, and his assertion that all things are destined to Nothing, Gellar is quite the skilled craftsman and scribe. He assists in keeping Irda's records and Booker's accounts, though he has also made a small name for himself in the creation of hand-written and illuminated manuscripts- most of them are religious nonsense, but his poetry is surprisingly touching and heartfelt. Every so often, one lovesick fool or another turns to him for assistance, figuring his theological ramblings are worth the courting help. |
