Lark
22401.png
Elite Captain of The Protectors
He was Brutus's second hand in battle and war, however, following Brutus's exile, he is now her Swift Majesty's second hand. And he has proved himself worthy of commanding such a high position.

Wilt thou be gone? It is not yet near day.
It was the nightingale, and not the lark,
That pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear.
Nightly she sings on yon pomegranate tree.
Believe me, love, it was the nightingale.
-William Shakespeare

Lark is a strategic genius that has landed him the position of Elite Captain. In the Swiftgliders, the Elite of the Protectors are the topmost warriors that have proven themselves beyond the call of duty, skill, and loyalty.
Under traitor-King Brutus's reign, the Ridgeback did many a treachous things that he regrets, and excuses himself not for it. Instead, now under Queen Celeres's reign, he tries to make up for what he's done, as his Queen has so graciously granted him pardon and spared his life, when even Lark himself felt undeserving.

What Lark did not know, was that this was only possible because of his mate, Loved. Who was responsible for unseating traitor-King Brutus and chasing him out of the Sunbeam Ruins, her Keepers hot on his heels as they tore into him and wounded him severely.

Traitor-King Brutus has not been seen since, and because of Loved's service to her Swift Majesty, Celeres granted Lark pardon and a chance to redeem himself, which he has more than done, and has sworn undying loyalty to his Queen.

Lark, as a mentor, is stubborn and stoic with many of his students, harsh in his training, however, he is only like that to ensure their survival on the battlefield.
Lark, as a mate, is kind. He enjoys writing poetry for her, doting on her and carefully brushing, braiding, and or washing her silky mane, before curling up around her protectively each night.
Lark, as a friend, is loud with laughter and outgoing, whether it is wine and mead after a long day, a tournament or competition, or simply a lazy day, he is never without a grin with the few friends he has.
