There’s something in the woods. But, unlike so many other somethings, this one does not seem to pose a threat to the various dragon and beast clans that call the Shrieking Wilds home. It is said by some that he is a forest spirit, or some faerie prince inspecting his domain. The more practically minded have reasoned that he is one of the Feral Druids that sometimes wander the woods, devoting themselves in religious fervor entirely to the wild, untamed ideals of the Gladekeeper. Either way, his presence is a lucky sign- brambles may grow in his wake, but so do leaves, fruits, and fat, healthy vegetables that resist disease and parasites.

Some clans have taken to leaving him offerings- berries and honey and sometimes the better parts of their harvest. Those that do find themselves never wanting for food, and their lost hatchlings always return safely, talking excitedly about the tall man that took their hand and led them home again.

He used to be known as Rok, before he forgot his name. In the way of his people, he has forgotten much of his past- but this does not bother him. He lives perfectly in the Now. What was cannot be changed. What will be, will be. He is a calm, meditative druid, whose devotion and study has granted him a significant amount of power over his surroundings. It is hardly any wonder that he has started to attract a following- ‘The Cult of Thorns’, they call themselves, after what seems to be his favored plants.

Before this, he belonged to the Underclan. Prone to wandering, his exceptionally short memory, even for a Tundra, would often leave him feral in a matter of months, only to be re-taught the basics of language and society by his sister, when he wandered back again. He was out when the clan was driven from the Labyrinth, and so while he was spared the horror of the Serthis and Emperor attacks, for the first time, he was truly on his own, without his family to lead him back to himself.

Whether it was the isolation or necessity that built him into the power he is today is uncertain. He does not remember it enough to tell you himself, and those lost years will remain so.
