Biography
"Hello there! Let me introduce myself here now. No, no you can keep writing. Yes, of course you can keep that in there! Alrighty, my name's Vikes. Vikes from lightning. Hah, I can barely consider that. I'm much more lazy than you would think someone from that flight would be! Yes, we should keep that! Why not? I didn't mind!"
An excited friend called "Vikes" laughs at every joke. He met everyone in the clan immediately when he came. Hibiscus laughed at his introduction, but he was serious. He didn't mind really. He was glad to come here. He missed his old clan, but it was work there. He wanted friends. He didn't want work, though he was not against doing it. It was stressful. He has cried over it many times. He gets overwhelmed.
Nikandros shares his space with him. The cave was not very large. "Heya! I heard you're the artist?!" he told him. Nikandros looked and him and smiled, "Actually, not many dragons are interested in my art."
"No way! It's so cool!" Vikes shouted. Nikandros huffed, looking at him. He didn't really believe him, but he was okay with sharing his part of the lair. Hey, he did want company.
April 13
He was cursed to always talk, he told to Nikandros. He saw him mumbling one day and asked about it. "Oh! It's nothing much. Just got to keep talking, you know. Always," he stuttered nervously.
"That's a bit sad. You sure it's nothing?" Nikandros was unsure about what he can do. He could try to ask for someone to cure him.
"It's a curse, actually," he explained, looking at his scales, "It's what is on the runes." He looked at them with noticeable regret. "The others hated it. I really can't stop," he looked down, "Can't get rid of it."
Vikes, from the moment he was born, could not stop talking. At first, the clan leaders thought that this dragonet was just simply very upbeat and chirpy, but it soon proved to be something more than that. He was brought up as the clans' child, rather than have two parents, for he was abandoned by his parents when he was still in a small egg. Whether his parents were dead or simply pretty bad ones, Vikes had no parents. Because of this, his clan-mates couldn't even search for the cause of this curse.
While the adults tried to be sympathetic to Vikes's condition, and even befriend him, the younger dragons were, simply put, monsters to him. Not only was he cursed, but he also got on the wrong side of the "popular" dragonets. They bullied him, calling him a mistake and a flaw in the future of the clan, making him feel like nothing more than a disease.
Because of all this, he began to close in on himself, spending less and less time with other dragonets, and more in his den, painting his surroundings. And dear Stormcatcher, was he good at it. he hummed and chatted with himself, keeping his energetic tongue busy, while his talons made beautiful paintings. After he became a full fledged adult and it was time for him to pick his job in the clan, he decided it would be best if he continued working from his den as the clan's artist.
Now, he earned his reputation as one of the most creative and respected artists in all of Sornieth. Perhaps life wasn't to bad after-all.
