mischief maker, mischief maker, won't you make some mischief?

there's a creature that lives at the lodge, hidden in nooks and under old scaffolding, nesting in the places no one thinks to look or can't even reach. passage calls it the lodge menace. it's apt. since taking up residence here, duck filches anything left unattended. and some things that aren't. on some especially boring days, duck might even decide to break things. on those days, she's more like a petulant housecat. enjoys attention like one too. to prevent being forgotten, duck will find a way to do you a startle. from under tables, overhead rafters, the shadowy corner of your bedroom, there may come a strange beeping.

lock up your treasure, lock up your trash. the duck steals belongings, gone in a flash
