On wings so old I fly high, sweeping stars in my wake. Their warm glow casting light upon my pale scales.

Relaxed of duties I am not, and never will be. This place is my domain and I alone look after it.

I watch those souls below, with a smile, with a frown, with a sigh of both joy and sadness.

Generations pass before my eyes. They preach of me, they speak of me, yet they do not know my name.

I watch them pass like flies as time flutters on. They know my name, really, but they cannot see past words. I am known by all, even you, my friend.

Never will I be free of obligations. So long as souls and words exist, I am here.

So long ago, from when time did not even exist, there was Origin. She was alone in a universe where there was no universe. There was nothing for her to do, except imagine.

She imagined worlds, stars, nebulae and supernovas. She created these and more in her head, and over time, which slowly came to exist, these imaginings became real. She flew among stars, her wings brushed clouds of gas, the light by which she saw illuminated the lumps of rock that floated through space like lost flies.

For so long this went on.

Until the white light took her life.
