Theme Song - Greenpath from Hollow Knight OST "The shadows are a hunter's best friend." Huntress - Tracker - Guardian

From where you stand, you begin to hear a semi-rhythmic thumping somewhere nearby. Upon surveying the area, you find the source of the noise: a dragon practicing her archery on a tree by the edge of the grove. Intrigued, you make your way to the dragon and wait for her to notice you. She glances over, but continues her shooting for several more minutes before heaving a sigh and turning to face you.
Greetings. My name is Aela. Given the length of time you've been standing there staring blankly, I assume you need me for something? Well I regret to inform you that you'll either have to wait until I've completed my drills or find someone else. Should you choose the former, I would be more than glad to assist you later. Otherwise, I'll be seeing you around.

The ground was cold, and so was she. The last job had gone wrong and now she was forced into the wilderness while the heat died down. Aela grimaced as she thought back on the previous night. Fig set her up and she should have seen it coming. Now there she was, sleeping on the ground again; just like when she was a hatchling.
Aela shifted on the ground. Her stomach growled. Ah yes. Food. It had been a good while since her last meal, and now she was regretting it. What she wouldn't give for a turkey dinner. She considered just staying where she was and accepting her role as soon-to-be decay, but ultimately began the grueling task of getting up. A few minutes later, she'd gathered her few belongings and started the hunt.
It wasn't hard to pick up a trail, and soon Aela was closing in on a small pack of micro deer. Not much, but good enough for the moment. She sniffed at the ground and adjusted her path, prowling slowly through the brush. Drawing closer, she heard them before she saw them, meandering along a river completely unaware of their impending demise. Quickly nocking an arrow, Aela drew it back and aimed. She was about to release when she heard a branch snap, followed by an enormous gaoler barreling into the pack. Startled, she let out a small yelp.
The gaoler ceased its rampage to look toward Aela, then slowly crept over to her. Aela stared back and calmly removed the arrow from her bow. The gaoler perked up and walked back toward the deer, before turning and gesturing for her to join. After sharing the haul, the gaoler urged her to embark on a joint hunt. Deciding she had nothing better to do, Aela treaded alongside the gaoler into the trees.
