Jo kauan Rusettien hovin lady, Chouchou oli halunnut muutosta hovin elinympäristöön. Oberon piti jo hyvää huolta puutarhasta, joka muuttui vuodenajan mukaan, mutta ajan myötä Chouchou toivoi myös samaa palatsille rakennuksena.

Nuori lohikäärme Halecia kutsuttiin hoviin Eteläiseltä jäätiköltä. Hän oli saavuttanut mainetta jääveistosten luomisessa ja koki, ettei kylmyys enää ollut hänen juttunsa. Siksi hän päätti laajentaa osaamistaan sisustamalla ystäviensä ja muiden lohikäärmeiden koteja.

Perin erikoisena ja innokkaana sisustajana Halecia otti mielellään Rusettien hovin haasteena itselleen. Samalla hän halusi osoittaa sekä Chouchoulle että Machaolle, että muutkin värit kuin vaaleanpunainen sopisivat hoviin, siten että ne sointuisivat yhteen omimatta varsinaista tilaa. Huomio kiinnittyi tällöin yksityiskohtiin, jotka olivat hyvin rakkaita tytölle.
