Eldrith

Catches fish and other water-dwelling food

Hirini walked over to Eldrith , who stood looking down at the water. Both had lots on their mind, but fishing always seemed to calm them down. Let them think things through logically instead of chaotically. Thinking in facts instead of non-important things. Fact 1: Dragons from their clan decided to go their separate ways, meaning that B) life would become a bit harder. While they both liked to be in small crowds and enjoyed being alone, it’s not necessarily a plausible way to live. There was safety in numbers (fact c), ways of life, such as trading with other dragons, was easier if it was within a clan.

“What do you think?” Hirini asked of her partner.

Eldrith hummed in thought as he quickly moved to a moving fish he spotted. He quietly cursed as it evaded him. He then answered her.

“I think we should find another clan. Have you any thought as to where you’d like to move?”

This time Hirini hummed in thought. Living in Mirrorlight Promenade was nice; it was peaceful. While she wasn’t an explorer or had dreams to travel, it’d be nice to live someplace else as well.

The Southern Icefield, while it may be a good fishing spot, was too cold in her opinion. So perhaps somewhere near the Sea of a Thousand Currents. It wasn’t too cold and fishing would be readily available constantly. Yet again, she imagined that all fishers would go there so there’d be lots of people and competition. She didn’t want that. Scarred Wasteland wouldn’t work; it practically desolate. Dragonhome seemed…boring.

It had been several minutes since Eldrith had heard his partner speak and so he took his eyes off the water a moment, something the fish took advantage of, jumping once. A taunt no doubt.

“Everything ok” he asked.

She nodded while continuing to go down the list of places to live when she suddenly recalled a dragon visiting their domain about a place called Singer’s Brook. It was located in the Windswept Plateau. The dragon described it as serene and peaceful. The Twisting Crescendo would not bother them there as the Singer’s Brook was located beneath towering cliffs that would shelter them. The streams and brooks would provide them with fish to hunt and no one would really bother them. Plus their was trade to be had with Zephyr Steppes, another peaceful place.

Hirini relayed this to Eldrith and he nodded all the while she was doing.

“It does sound perfect, doesn’t it?” he asked. Then the more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea.

“I like it. Let’s see if we can find a clan there we like first and then we’ll see about moving.”

Hirini smiled happily as he went back to fishing. Her smile growing wider as he caught the fish taunting him, grinning as he did so.

Hirini and Eldrith’s children are experts at catching fish and other underwater creatures. They feel most at home gliding low over a river or wading into a lake. They’re early-risers who enjoy watching the sunrise over the water. They’re independent dragons, and they enjoy having some time to themselves. They’re largely apathetic to most things that don’t involve fishing or water, but they can get easily stressed in large crowds.
