Illuminae has been noted to be a cold and distant leader by some of the younger members which isn't the full truth. As noted by Platypus, Illuminae is an uptight leader with a level head and Illuminae himself has been stated to "not communicate with the clan" very often. When Illuminae cares for someone he will make small gestures of appreciation like a small smile or dip of his head. When faced with problems Illuminae tries to make a solution that will profit all of the clan and at first wasn't as open to cross clan relationships and cross clan trade routes however another dragon from a different clan managed to kidnap his affections. This ultimately seemed to rub off on him and made him a kinder dragon.

After meeting said dragon(Taranna) Illuminae became less distant and whenever Taranna would be over at the clan he seemed to be more sociable and approachable. Perfectly content with making sure Taranna didn't trip over her own wing and would listen to conversations and complaints from other dragons more openly instead of having Dusk do much for him. He became more interactive and softer even if he never showed outward affection.

Platypus

Platypus was Illuminae's mentor and caretaker. Some may even venture far enough to say she was his adoptive mother despite his birth mother, Tallulah working in the Winged Gardens not far away. Through his early days, Platypus took care of Illuminae with her happy personality and horrible mom jokes.

Dusk

Dusk is Illuminae's second in command and one of his closest friends bordering on his sister. Dusk was raised with Illuminae along with the third in command Nuthilyan. The three were raised like siblings and supported Illuminae through his training to be the leader. Dusk is also the one who is most in tune with the clan members and their thoughts and feelings.

Nuthilyan is shy, but a stern dragon with a quiet voice. He loves playing with the hatchlings and is always friendly with outsiders, which is why he handles trade routes and exports. Instead of socializing Nuthilyan would much rather prefer reading a book which is why he is a great study buddy for Illuminae

Taranna

Taranna is a dragon from a different clan by the name of The Clan of Swaying trees. She is a mapmaker with an over-enthusiastic personality who somehow managed to win Illuminae's affections when she sneaked into the camp on a mission to map their camp. However, clan leaders are not allowed to have mates during their reign.

Early Life

Illuminae was the youngest of his hatching and the thirdborn of Pluto, who is the father to a noble bloodline of sorts within the clan. During his short time when his family was united and his siblings were together, he made friends with two dragons named Dusk and Nuthilyan. Illuminae was then picked early age by Platypus who decided to train him to be the future leader. Illuminae preferred to choose to study Platypus' movements and activities than socialize and the one time he was seen not studying was when his brother Rubilax and sister, Thistle was sent to a different clan and for Thistle to be exalted.

Illuminae continued to work with Platypus and started to take on more jobs like overseeing hunting parties and training sessions and even sorted a few hatchlings into different divisions and jobs. Although Platypus and her second and third still took the brunt of the work.
