Mate: Synali

Aerinite and her sister Nadean were hatched in the land of the Arcanist to a male Coatl and a spunky female Wildclaw. From the start, it was quite obvious that Aerinite was the token child (at least when it came to Regalia, as Irene loved both of her hatchlings equally); something that was made more clear when her dad named her after a rare, valued mineral while her sister got a basic name. To make his eldest daughter feel better, the male Coatl liked to tell her that her name sounded similar to her mother's; a Dragon whom he loved and cared for very much.

However, that failed to quell the growing resentment that Nadean was starting to feel towards her younger sister. Eventually, she was overcome with enough hate to actually attack her Coatl sibling at the age of six years in the middle of a clan festival in celebration of peace with the clear intent to kill her. Aerinite managed to fight her hatch-mate off successfully, but not before the Wildclaw left a nasty gash across the Coatl's left eye. Outraged by not only the disruption of the festival but also the young Wildclaw's clearly murderous intentions, the clan leader sentenced Nadean to exile in the cold, harsh lands of the Icewarden. Seemingly shamed by her Wildclaw daughter's actions, Irene left the lands of the Arcanist for the lands of the Plaguebinger soon after the festival ended, despite the desperate pleading from her adoring mate.

It turned out that Irene really left due to guilt; as she had taken another mate under Regalia's muzzle and had borne four hatchlings for the male Skydancer, who had left the clan for the lands of the Gladekeeper as soon as the news broke in order to escape the backlash. With his heart in tatters, Regalia took Aerinite (much to her disappointment and reluctance) and made the journey to the lands of the Lightweaver with the goal of making a new start for himself and his daughter.

Once they reached the lands of the Lightweaver, they were welcomed into a band of travelling Snappers. Two years after joining the Snappers, Regalia succumbed to an unknown disease after he had gotten into an argument with one of the plague-aligned Snappers in the band. Fearing for her safety, Aerinite decided to part ways with the band of Snappers at the next stop that they made, which happened to be Norwal; a large, bustling town near the Daylight Sanctum.

With a smile on her muzzle, Aerinite kindly thanked the Snappers for their hospitality (despite the huge amount of fear that she had felt) and left the travelling band behind as she wandered into the city, unknowingly trailed by her best friend; a young Snapper female by the name of Flora). It was there where she first caught sight of Synali through a crowd of assembled, adoring Dragons and she was instantly smitten. The rest- as they say- is history.

Unlike her mate (and despite his growing paranoia in regards to her safety), Aerinite will often leave the castle and mingle with her subjects in Norwal's market square. Her kind demeanor and respectful attitude have quickly made her a favorite with the subjects that she oversees. However, with her hatchlings, she can be very aloof and can appear to be dis-interested in them despite feeling the opposite and has shown slightly better treatment towards her daughters hatched with her mate, the king.

(1) "I love the combination of purple and light green, it looks so refreshing. The little accents of green in the crystal match her wings perfectly and bring her together. The planned outfit is striking and brings out her purple really well, and I love her light pink eyes!" - Mertisal

(2) "you only had two dragons in that first page, but it was a hard choice!! in the end, Aerinite and her color-matching familiar won me over (though i also wanna say I love how Synali's gembond kinda makes it look like he's wearing a crown >w<)" - HatLordAve
