Sventura

Sventura Mossgloom, an alchemist and witch fighter. After a dragon who was not possessed by shade but enthralled by it and used it as the source of their magic turned him into a monstrous looking dragon and his father into a puppet, Sventura has dedicated his life to undoing evil spells and tracking down and hunting those who use malevolent magic, and has taken up temporary residence in the Sunbeam Ruins to study the element that counters darkness to find surefire counters. As a Shadow dragon living deep in mimic territory every year, he has some idea as to what he's dealing with, and works tirelessly to use alchemy as well as research the practices of Light magic to reverse any spells and restore the lives of dragons whose lives have been ruined by sorcery.
While he works most of all to restore his father, who now cannot speak and can only slightly pull his own strings, Sventura works even harder to restore the dragons turned into newts that have been rescued by clans who knew not to eat them. At all times he has at least five newts on him, and he hopes he can cure all thirty seven of them, soon.
Between his monstrous, multi-eyed form and his father being a puppet, the only remembrance Sventura has of his life before the witch's curse is his black pearl, a rarity among Pearlcatchers as he used to be. He prides himself in that this means he must have been destined for great things, and therefore his alchemy and quest to expel evil will surely amount to something.

And yes, that "ghastcrown"? No, that's his actual face.
