Hey, kid. 'm gonna tell ya a story, so listen up, aight?

...so. I know it's gonna sound weird, but I had a charge before, back when I was human. Yeah, I was human before, an' I remember that. Don't look at me like that, I didn't let 'im die or nothin'. Did a half-decent job serving the boss, if I do say so myself.

Wha-?! Ya don't believe me? He was a prince and everythin'. Exiled 'coz the Big Bad accused him of something he didn't do. Plus Mr Big Bad was some...whatcha call it, 'otherworldly entity'? Possessed the prince's lil sis, he did. Couldn't let us beat 'im up, else we'd harm the girl too.

Where was I? Oh, yeah. The prince got us all together, a whole buncha us. Got us to save the people bein' terrorised by the Empire. Raised a wholeass army. Tell ya, there's nobody this dude couldn't befriend. And he made everyone feel like...we could do anythin'. As long as he was there...we had hope. Hope to keep fightin' the Empire. Hope that one day, we'd be able to reclaim the Kingdom, save the whole damn world.

To me, he was kinda like a lil bro. So much that he even made me commander. Though it never stopped ol' me from charging at them fiends. Ha!

Not ta toot my own horn, but there were two things I was good at an' that was eating an' fightin'. Ain't no one could keep me down fer long. Man, fiend, beast...I threw myself at every last one of 'em like it was the last fight I'd get.

...though, I musta died after all. 's okay. Everyone gotta die someday.

But to the very end, I never regretted it. Dyin' fer his sake...
