Halloween

Syzygy's mate.

(didn't write this down here, from his previous owner I believe, so I'll keep it.)

Dead trees reach across the empty streets toward you as you make your way down the lane... The abandoned house at the end of the road stands tall against the dark skies, outlined by the luminescent moon. Your breath comes out in short pants, the cold air nips at you through your costume. You pause in front of the ramshackle old house, the door creaks ominously on its hinges. You hear a low his rise from somewhere in the house.

You cautiously step inside, the smell of rotting wood plagues your senses, but the double dog dare was made, and you have to follow through...

You make your way deeper into the house, into the kitchen... the old crime scene tape still hangs from the door nails. Faded and disintegrating.

You make your way over to the back door and cautiously peer out into the yard. The tall iron fences surround the family plots. Headstones long gone, the only indicator that there's anyone buried inside the fenced space are the sunken graves.
You turn back and make your way towards the library, finding that most of the books are still intact. You decide that these may be the best things to bring back to your friends, to prove that you did in fact go inside the house...
