Nightraider’s name is very misleading… as are his looks. The deep, dark colors, the many eyes staring at you from under his silks, the huge size and deep voice; all of these work to give the impression of someone who should be stepped lightly around.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Nightraider is a big softy. The whole reason he got his name is simple - he really enjoys snacks. It seems silly, but it’s true. While he rarely sits down to eat an actual full meal (it takes so much time!), the guardian can often be found at all hours raiding the lair's food stores. Any time day or night, it’s very common to see him slinking back out of the kitchens hiding something under his clothing.

Nightraider doesn’t have to sneak food the way he does. But for some reason, it’s just more fun. And he does work hard to replace them. Part of the reason he likes snacks better than meals is because he’s always on the go… so heading out to gather for the clan serves a dual purpose to the dragon.

Other than food, Nightraider also enjoys his dancing. For all his size, he’s surprisingly graceful and spends a lot of time practicing with the other dancers in the lair… which just fuels his hunger and need for pilfered foodstuffs. Nightraider’s closest friends are mostly among the other nocturnal dragons, since he's up hungry all the time anyway.

Someday the guardian might learn to cook for himself - but where would the fun in that be?
