Is it wrong to say that I enjoy being evil?

I was a hero, once upon a time, long ago, in a far-off land. Saved the world and everything. Those around me loved me, they thought I was great, that I was wise, that I was brave.

But I knew that if I went home, I wouldn't be seen as a hero. Just a kid with a headful of nonsense.

Just a kid to be ignored.

So I stayed in the world I saved. I tried to stop the return of the Dark Ones, and for a while, the world was at peace.

And then, the spirits offered me a deal. Eternal life, and all the power I would need to keep the peace. All I had to do was to remove a queen from her throne.

The job was easy.

Living with it was not.

The spirits granted me eternal life, and more power than I thought I knew what to do with, and I spent 100 years using my gifts to help the world.

A world that didn't want my help.

They fought me at every turn. I wanted to save the world, and the world wanted me to go away.

And so I set my plans in motion. For 200 years, I plotted, only showing up to cause some petty trouble, enough to keep my real plans safe.

Then, when every thing was just right, I put an end to the Thousand-Year Peace. A beloved queen, dead. The world in chaos. A throne ripe for the taking, in time. My throne.

It was MINE! And the Heroes stole it from me.

We fought for what felt like years, the Heroes and I. Magic, my one strength, was already starting to fade.

And then I lost. I was flung into the shattering blackness, the infinite void, and I could feel the pull of Home. Home, with the knowledge that I was once great and powerful, and now just a child to be ignored.

And so I pushed against the pull with all that was left of my spirit, and was reborn. Fuzzy pink fur, gray fur, yellow fur. Eyes as cold and dark as the void I escaped.

And the magic of this world is strong!

I will rule again.

And this time, there are no Heroes to stop me!
