Ythnm was brought in by Tasmin on an expensive study-grant. While Tasmin herself was born near the border with the Starfall Isles, her element was always Plague, and her ability to study more broad, impressive, cosmic magic was limited. Now Ythnm is here, serving as court wizard, filling what was seen as a painful gap in ability.

Ythnm is an esoteric, bizarre fae, even by the Ooze Spire's standards. She lives in a sap perch high up on the tree, where the sky is clear enough she can study the stars. Dragons have reported sightings of strange, incorrectly-shaped creatures roaming the Spire's base at night lately, and not like, Plague-weird, but like, you know, Arcane-weird. When asked, Ythnm assures everyone this is going exactly as expected, yes, these results are good.

Although she keeps more to herself, she's good friends with Mire, her friend and assistant, whose significant size is a big aid around the ol' magic lab. She's also one of the few dragons Cacophony trusts with the library books.
