Azure was always drawn to the sea, and hearing it crash against the rocky coast spoke to him. One day, he wandered too far from the hallowed groves, feeling the lure of the sea stronger than ever. When he reached the coast, he sat and let the waves crash over him, feeling serene and content. A tidal wave hit him and pulled him into the swirling, unfriendly waters. He struggled to stay afloat until he felt something gently guide him towards land. Slowly, it buoyed him away from the azure depths and closer to the shore. When he arrived, he found a woven basket bobbing in a tangled patch of kelp. As he tugged it loose, he saw a brilliant blue crest of water rise from the sea in the shape of a graceful, arching sea serpent. He knew it had been a water spirit that had been guiding him, temporarily abandoning its home to keep him safe. However, he was lost now, and could barely make his way back. The spirit guided him, teaching him to navigate by the stars in the sky. When he returned, he was more knowledgeable than before, and the spirit has stayed with him ever since.
