Magnus

A venture too far into the Wyrmwound left Magnus diseased and weakened - and ostracized by his Nature clanmates. They hadn't cared that he was dying and in need of help; they only thought he was a Plague-infected dragon, unsuited for the clan.

Horrified by what the disease was doing to his body, Magnus found himself some clothing that could hide the visible effects. He proceeded to run across the Scarred Wasteland in search of someone that could help him, but he eventually collapsed due to exhaustion, struggling to catch his breath.

A doctor finally found him, and started to cure the more lethal effects of his illness... but couldn't cure the serious discoloration of his scales, or his nagging respiratory issues. Magnus continued to wear the obscuring clothing, and started to believe in what his old Nature clan had told him. He believed he was a monster, that everyone else would see him as such as well. So for several years, he gave into this belief and ventured around the Plaguelands, becoming a formidable warrior.

Magnus has been called many things - "The Golden Lion", "The Primal Lion", and "The Diseased Lion" are just some of the many. One of the only things that nobody has ever called him is a friend.

It's a shame, really.
