Biography
Allison ->Kali ->Sola
Sola the Rouge
Sola stepped across the plain, happily carefree as she breathed in the lush summer air. She then noticed an elderly man walking towards her. The man had a black robe and cape that flowed behind him gracefully in the wind. He had an oak walking stick that he carelessly spun around. When the man had reached Sola, he gave a curt nod.
"May I help you?" Sola asked.
"Do you happen to know of anybody named Allison?" he asked.
"Who want's to know?" Sola replied, suspicious.
The man cocked his head. "I do. She's an old friend of mine. Do you know her?"
"My grandmother is named Allison. It may just be a common na-"
"Where is she? I must find her again and recaptu- Sorry. I meant make up for the years we haven't seen each other."
Sola backed away from the elderly man. "I'm sorry. I can't help you. I must get going. Have a go-" The man grabbed Sola's wrist tightly.
"You will tell me where Allison is, or you will regret it."
Sola screamed and kicked the man's shin. He smiled and held on to her wrist even tighter.
"Now, now. Don't cause any trouble. We wouldn't want you to get hurt, now would we? You are useful to me and my cause. You will come with me."
The man dragged Sola along across the meadow, despite her pleads to be released and her cries for help. He smiled, knowing that soon all the pieces would click into place.
Sola sat in her prison silently. She had done so for five years after she wouldn't tell the President about Allison's whereabouts. Suddenly, the cell door slammed open and a young man about her age was thrown into the cell violently. The door was then quickly slammed shut. The young man slowly got up. His face was bruised and bloodied and Sola felt a surge of sympathy. She slid closer.
"Are you okay?" she asked. The young man looked up.
"What do you think?" he asked, sharp and bitter. Sola was taken aback.
"I'm just checking on you. You're my cellmate. We can't really ignore each other, can we? We're the only ones that can keep each other sane." The young man scoffed. "I'm Sola." She held out her hand.
"Pearl. And don't you laugh," the young man replied, shaking Sola's hand.
"It's a beautiful name. I like pearls."
"The thing is, I don't like being characterized as a female."
"Pearl doesn't need to be a female name. There's some names that can go with either gender. I think it's pretty. Can we settle at that?"
Over the next few months, Pearl slowly crawled out of his bubble and Sola felt a strong attraction to him. She didn't know why or what the feeling was, but she liked it.
Finally, one night, Sola was gently shaken awake by Pearl. "I found a way to escape," he whispered. "Hurry!" Sola quickly got out of her cot and followed Pearl. Pearl slowly swung open the prison door that he had picked the lock to and crept silently through it, beckoning for Sola to follow.
The pair slowly made it through the dungeon of the prison and finally made it to a starry sky. Sola threw her arms around Pearl. "You did it! You got us out of there!" Pearl put a finger to his lips.
"I know. Still. Stay quiet. We aren't out of the woods yet. We need a way out of this place, maybe to another gala-"
Pearl was cut off as a beautiful lady stepped out of the mist. "Sola," she said. "I'm glad you got out. Who's your friend?" Sola rushed forward to hug her grandmother before introducing her to Pearl.
"Wait. You're... The Allison? The Allison that escaped The President?" Pearl asked in wonder. "I've been dying to meet you!"
Allison warily looked around. "There will be time for chatter later. For now, we should get out of here." She gently took Sola's hand and Pearl's hand before the three of them popped out of existence to another place.
