Heather

Heather Astraline, a tirelessly working Keeper dragon well known for both her diligence and beauty. While she takes her job more seriously than most Gaolers, already saying quite a lot, she has a soft spot for pretty things and even fashion on occasion (but hopes her peers don't know as it's considered frivolous vanity). Heather is an agreeable dragon, a little softspoken when off the job (by being forced to take a break for her own health), but on the job she is silent, unwavering, and unbreakably focused.
She also has a very keen interest in the possibility of life on other planets given her element as well as her instincts as a Gaoler to seek out anomalies. While she greatly fears Shadetouched creatures as the Shade came from outside Sornieth, she also hopes deep down that there are benevolent beings or at least docile wildlife somewhere out there in the universe.

Traustur is a part of a centaur herd that the Morning Roses have allied with. Him and Heather are hunting companions, but their shared interests end there. Mostly because Heather is a fairly solitary dragon, and Traustur is a fairly aloof centaur. Still, they respect each other as hunters, and that's enough for them.
