Riptide

A flash of blue and a hiss of fangs is all you will see if you attempt to mess with those of her clan she protects. She leads with a strong hand but is well respected. She doesn't like showing any weakness which makes her seem a bit more stoic than her mate, but her soft spot for the hatchlings and her mate let those of the clan see her softer side They also get to see the occasional smile creep out of her usually serious demeanor when the hatchlings do something particularly goofy.

Her other weakness is the kelp beds. She simply loves to wrap up in a long string of kelp and relax to let the water flow around her. It is a place where she will relax and watch over the clan when given any sort of time to herself. Her colors and patterns make her hard to see, so unless someone knows she is there they most likely won't even see her. It also gives her plenty of time to really test the various enemies of the beds that decide that she is encroaching. Not that she minds a good scuffle every now and then, especially when she can take home the fish they invariably drop.
