To explore was in his nature, but that his brother had been both lead and tail, following when Starbow veered off, and pushing for their first destination to be the Observatory- out of interest in their names, had been the claim- made the start less perfect, for the second.

To bid farewell to their family, and set out with the stars as their guides- they had to fly north, and leave the asterism that marked the southern sky behind them.
Starsink, of course, looked upon it all with wide-eyed wonder, and took such joy in this place that was not their home. That it was interesting Starbow would surely assent to, but still he hungered less for the magic of this country than his brother. The only thing he came to understand from the local clans was that his brother would certainly find a welcoming home here, or else in the tempests to the south-east, where the Windsinger reigned over the land and their skies.
That they felt the need to tell him, rather than report it to his brother, was a stinging nettle that burned against and under his scales.
Starsink eventually came to the conclusion that had been Starbow's for some weeks prior; that it was time to go, to once again explore.
