LEI - Thunder Spirit

When a storm rolls in, Lei is at the height of her power. There’s something in the air that calls to her, a crackle of static, a whisper of rain, even before the storm arrives in full force. But when the winds rise and the lightning begins to flash, it is then that she finds herself in her element.

Braving storm force winds is no easy task, and rarely do dragons attempt it, even the most accomplished aerial artists. But Lei can feel the winds curl around her, boosting her up into the swirling dark, and it is the most at home she will ever feel, at least until the thunder hits.

That roar swallows everything, reshapes the world into nothing but the dark and the wind and the echo in Lei's ears. When she hears thunder ring out, she knows she is where she belongs. When she hears the thunder, she answers.

Down below, though she does not know it, dragons tell tales of a beast that rides the clouds, a creature of lightning and relentless fury. One day, it will come to rest on Sornieth, and exact its wrath upon the world. For now, though, so long as the clouds echo with its furious song, the world remains safe.
