Personality: Edallin is charming in his own way, very upbeat and clean in everything he does, nothing dulls his mood for long. he is the typical soldier, following orders to the letter and never deviating unless given the idea by someone else although he is far from stupid. he enjoys bickering with Windthorp and Raelyn and meeting new dragons to share stories with and has no trouble sitting for hours simply listening and chatting. he is extremely protective of Raelynn and tries to keep her as safe as he can and tolerates no threats to her.

Background: Edallin grew up in a upper-class merchant family learning from them some of the skills he would need to become a merchant. he was more interested in the guards, talking to them, watching them practice, and listening to their stories; he had an absolute fascination with the guards and warriors they would meet. Edallin took to playing as if he were a warrior much to his parents' amusement, he still learned about the items his family sold most often and how to entice others into finding an item interesting or irresistible.
As he got older he took to learning sword use and took the training he would need to become a competent warrior, his parents had long since accepted that he wanted to become a warrior and simply wished to help him achieve this goal. when travelling he trained with the guards that travelled with his family's personal caravan, while his father worked with other merchants for a small part of their profits from his items he did have a caravan that he owned and sold items from.

He was soon sent to a school O.A.K after his father received a letter from someone Edallin himself didn't know and had never heard of. once at O.A.K he met Raelynn and almost right away felt a pull to her, she looked sad and uncomfortable and he decided to introduce himself and try to make her smile. they walked together and the dragoness finally gave a sly smile as they passed a food cart, handing him one of the sweets she had snuck, "I suppose. To the beginning of... something.", she had smiled and he grinned lifting the treat in agreement.
They had made a habit of sneaking food, be it sweets or actual food, often when running late for a class as they went through school and while at O.A.K they met Drovled and Windthorp. Edallin found Windthorp annoying and had a particularly difficult time accepting that the other male had become such fast friends with Raelynn, the small dragoness seemed far too innocent when it came to other dragons and Edallin didn't want to see her hurt. he was proven just how wrong his assumption of Raelynn's innocents was when she and Windthorp found themselves the target of bullies and suddenly every secret the would be bullies had became common gossip for the whole school.

After two year training they had graduated and were being sent off to pay their debts to the school and their patron whom had requested their attendance to O.A.K, they were told their patron would have them perform five tasks for him before he would consider their debts paid. their first task seemed easy enough, their was a frontier town that they were supposed to go to, they had to to meet a dragon once there, but after their meeting Edallin thought they could entertain themselves while waiting for orders from their Patron.
They took a boat which he worked for passage on, seeing Raelynn truly in her element was something beautiful to behold. she climbed the masts and ropes easily and seemed to breeze through all tasks given to her until they had made port and finished unloading the cargo. Edallin followed Raelynn to a tavern nearby and listened as she played her harp and sang softly, entertaining the crowd and earning their meals and drinks for the night, it was a lovely performance. the next day had them getting on a caravan to get to the next town before they would reach the town they were to live in for the time.

The small town they stopped in was dull and rain was keeping them from continuing their travels as the caravan's wheels and horses would get bogged down if they made the attempt. they spent a great deal of time in a tavern talking and just trying to stave off boredom, it was unbearably hot and made them all seek refuge in the tavern where the tavern keeper was from the southern ice fields and kept the building cooler, more comfortable.
A dragon came running into the tavern and spoke to the tavern keep who pointed at them and sent the dragon skittering toward them. he claimed himself a painter and asked for their help getting his paints back as the caravan that was bringing in his items and many other things was attacked and had since gone missing. they agreed reluctantly since all he could offer then in way of payment was a painting of themselves.

They went walking to where the caravan last was and found the guard dead and a wagon overturned, which was odd, but there were arrows that they had never seen before littering the bodies and ground. wolves suddenly attacked them and they soon found themselves overwhelmed by the large beasts, Edallin found himself facing several of them as Raelynn moved to stand closer to him in hopes of not being flanked.
Edallin attacked the wolves and was attacked in turn, suddenly finding the beasts attacking him from all sides. he was brought to his knees by them until Raelynn managed to force several of them back and suddenly the wolves ran, Edallin sat heavily and tried to catch his breath, closing his eyes until he felt gentle hands on his side. he opened his eyes and saw Raelynn bandaging his wounds without a word before looking back at their companions "Windthorp, once I'm done here let's see if there's a place to camp. Drovled, if you don't mind staying here?" she had said.

He and Drovled had sat in the clearing waiting for Raelynn and Windthorp to come back, Edallin felt more than a little light headed as he waited and so leaned back and closed his eyes again. Raelynn talking about a den with an old dragoness puttering around it and started making their way to it, Edallin reluctantly leaned against Raelynn until they were suddenly ushered in by the kindly old dragoness. he let the old dragoness lead him to a large nest and gratefully fell asleep until Raelynn woke him to take some foul medication and eat something, the medication turned out to be a healing potion which awakened his apatite.
The next morning they went across the lake and into a cave where some longnecks were living, he had hoped to ask them questions, but they were suddenly attacked by the beastclan. he charged in with the rest of his companions and suddenly found himself surrounded by several longneck attacking him. he was forced to the ground with chains and was attacked while he was pinned, he struggled and fussed until he found he was freed and the longnecks were all killed.

Once this was done they made their way back to the old dragoness' den and then to the town they had been stuck in to continue on their way to the town they were supposed to be going to. they met with their Patron's representative in the finest inn the town could provide and saw he was unimpressed and disgusted by the "Poor surroundings and Meager offerings" the inn provided which by Edallin's standards were opulent.
After the meeting they wandered around the town, Edallin found spending time with Raelynn was nice even given their other two companions. there was an unwelcome interruption to their wandering, a group of dragons stopped them demanding protection money and Edallin tried talking their way out of it, but when Windthorp bolted and an arrow nearly hit him it was a lost cause. Raelynn's enraged yell and her sword clearing scabbard started their fight and after several minuets his glaive finished the fight, sending the surviving thugs running.
