Stonegaze Theme Stonegaze was hatched in the earth flight. His father and Mother were both snappers.. while he was a mirror dragon. He didn't quite fit in among his siblings, being less bulky and on the more patient side, he was abnormal. His siblings would tease him for this, while he earned off stares from the adult dragons from his many many eyes. Soon, he had enough of it, and he began his journey to find somewhere where he would be accepted. The first place he had found himself was in the dark tangled wood, with giggles and laughs hanging among the bramble. As he traveled deeper into the tangled wood, he found himself trapped in the bramble. It seemed it was almost unending. When he pulled some away, there was always more to trap him. After he had given up escaping the bramble, he thought he heard something walking near the brambles. It was most likely his imagination, but he swore he could hear someone walking. He tried to call out, but the bramble had worn him out so much that he could only make a small "help." But that did seem to catch the things attention, as it started walking towards him. "Hello? Is somebody out there in the bramble?" They asked, moving the bramble slightly, which pulled away some of the bramble off him. He moved slightly to try to catch their attention, which with the pull of the bramble, alerted them. They began moving the bramble away more, enough that he could just barely see their face in the moonlight. If was pale, and not what he had ever seen before. It had two arcing horns, and they lacked any from limbs, using their wings- which had tufts of feathers on them, to move the bramble. When the dragon had moved the bramble away enough, he was able to climb out, with several cuts from the brambles thorns. He had closed his other eyes while he was trapped so he wouldn't go blind. "I'm leapwing. I may look odd, but the clan likes odd dragons." The odd dragon said, tucking its wings, which had no cuts from the brambles. "Come on, let's get you back and patched up." Leapwing said, leading the way to their clan, which wasn't that far away. He noticed that Leapwing's eyes were rather odd, as well. But he couldn't quite see them in the light. Eventually, he found himself in a bustling clan, with several of the odd looking dragons walking about, as well as the normal dragons. He could see what presumed to be Leapwing's siblings wrestling eachother. He had kept his other eyes closed as to not draw any attention. But amidst the older dragons, were a batch of dragonets that had very odd attributes. One had more eyes than he could even see, one had glowing eyes, another swirly ones. One had eyes as bright as the sun. And then there was Leapwing, with eyes that looked almost horizontal. "So, whats your name?" Leapwing asked, out of the blue. "Oh, uh, I'm Stonegaze.. I came from the earth region, but I left." He said, sighing. But Leapwing put one of her wings over him. "Don't worry, we will take any dragon in. Even if they have glowing or vibrant eyes." She said, grinning. And thus, he opened them, earning an amazed stare from Leapwing. Thus, their inseparable friendship began. |
