Karistas is an energetic and encouraging artist who loves all things bright and bizarre. She spends most of her time at the nursery, helping Ynes raise the hatchlings. She always participates in the clan's arts and crafts festival and runs a painting booth.

Karistas' favorite hatchling is Doodles, who she calls her little assistant.

Karistas enjoys painting. While she creates gorgeous, though surreal, paintings herself, she’s found that children often have even more wild and bizarre ideas. Karistas likes to hear ideas from young ones and then try and bring them to life. Many times, Karistas will give these paintings to the mastermind who thought of them. If she particularly likes a painting or idea, she may recreate it later for herself. Karistas is encouraging to young painters and has been known to hand over her paintbrushes to allow the children to help.
