In the wake of the Tidelord’s disappearance, Jango sought out a Water Flight clan that would give him a place to stay as he studied the aftershocks. The Captain was the only one who had two Fae children creepy enough to beg to keep a strange mage as a pet.
Despite his stern demeanor, Jango humors Ponder and Windle. He joined their little society of fortune tellers. He taught them cartomancy. He does not tell them the signs he sees in the bubbles arising from the ocean floor. He does not extend their warnings. He taught them the pleasures of lemon pound cake, too.
