The cave echoed with the sound of water, at least you hope it’s water. It smells of death and decay, suffocating your nose and making your eyes water. You shouldn’t be here, that much you know, but you push onwards towards the soft red light at the end of the cave.

“What do you want from me?” the red light asks, forming itself into a blood-red Nocturne.

“I want power. I will give everything I have in return,” you respond.

“Fool.”

Old legends once spoke of a large demon, red hide shiny and bloody, who walked the land and took everything in his path. The legends have since faded with time, but the demon has not. An entity known by Niikn, he makes his home in a decaying cave deep under the Scarred Wasteland. He takes and takes and takes, and leaves nothing behind.
