Just as a smith cannot forge copper into steel, it is impossible for even the most knowledgeable and esteemed enchanter to create an artistic prodigy from an untalented student.

But despair not! Even if you are among the unfortunate masses, this guidebook will still offer you invaluable knowledge on enchantment theory, techniques, and practices so that you might better appreciate the work of the masters. There is no shame in admitting one’s limitations. It is a sign of wisdom and experience, to be contrasted with the foolish pursuit of impossible aims.”
