Ashfall

Sandstorms eldest daughter, Ashfall, spent her youth competing with her perfect sister Athena for their mother's affection. Sandstorm, constantly doing her best to prove her devotion to the Shadowbinder, was overwhelmingly pleased with Athena. She was fast and tricky; a perfect shadow dragon, and was quickly recognised as a representative of the Shadowbinder's will. Her mother's constant doting on her younger sister caused Ashfall to become bitter, and she soon secluded herself from almost everybody in her clan. Almost everybody. One determined imperial of similar age and upbringing to herself followed her about, no matter how dangerous the depths of the Tangle Wood became. Eventually, she succumbed to Ozone's courting and he convinced her to rejoin the clan, but her lack of maternal affection as a hatchling carried over to her own attempts at motherhood, and two of her three children quickly left the clan to find better homes; only the smallest remained. Ashfall and Ozone agreed to try again at a later date but for the moment they are content to simply live out their lives with their clan.
