Gwen

Gwen was the daughter of the rebel upstart's leader. It was this title that started a life of hardships. food was scarce on a good day, but because of her father's morals, if everyone couldn't eat then the the head family would not eat. She was pushed harder to be faster, be stronger, quieter, hunt better. she wasn't able to play with the other hatchlings, least she waste time that could be spent "bettering herself and bettering her clan."

it was on one of these hunting training excursions that she accidently came across some hatchlings playing in the forest. she tried to get away without being discoved but one noticed her and took chase. in her tired state, she was unable to evade him. this unlikely meeting lead to a secret friendship with a fae named Maria.

It was thanks to her new friendship that Gwen started listening in on her father's nightly meetings. she was worried that they might make a move on his clan, and rightly so. after overhearing the plans to ambush and run off the old clan, Gwen rushed off to warn Maria, putting all of her training to use.

It doesn't long to convince Maria to run away with her. the swiftly make their way to a deeper forest, hoping to get some distance between them and the clans and hopefully find some food. sadly, despite the training, Gwen's hunting skills were lacking. they found themselves exhausted, resting in a tree. Turi accidentally shook them from the tree and shook up their lives.

In her short life, gwen has found herself not only the best friend she could have but a true family that loves and cares for each other. she never knew that life could be so good.
