Biography
Lady Moon Silverston Soapmaker | Lawful Good | The Poshest Slime You've Ever Met Lady Moon Silverston is not, in fact, the original Lady Moon Silverston. That would be ridiculous-- after all, the noble in question has been dead for over a hundred years. This gelatinous shadow is what, in Sornieth's draconic folklore, is at times referred to as a "muck wraith" or "sludgespook". When brainless oozes or slimy familiars ingest the corpse or bones of a dragon (whether accidentally or intentionally), a spiritual fusion can occur, turning the creature into something entirely new-- neither dragon nor simple goop. Though these beings have no recollection of the dragon's life or memories, those who meet these creatures would agree that they bear an uncanny resemblance, both physically and personality-wise, to their draconic predecessor and life-lender. Muck wraiths are generally regarded as monstrous and are rarely accepted by society at large-- those successful at hiding their oozy origin can go on to accomplish great things, however, a feat made all the easier by Baldwin's new slime and sludge mutations which render normal dragons not all too dissimilar in appearance from them. This amalgamous sweetheart came into being when a hungry ooze happened to leak into a mausoleum, where it consumed the shriveled body of the original Lady Moon Silverston. She grew a passion for soapmaking and other aromatically pleasing luxury goods after having to, essentially, turn herself into liquid soap in order to combat the overbearing smell of the old corpse decomposing inside of her, and after a time, was able to successfully pass as a dragon influenced by Baldwin's mutagens and rejoin society (or join it for the first time, depending on your philosophical view). She's teamed up with Porcelain, Santa Solare's most successful chandler and soapmaker, to serve as her apprentice, though she hopes to someday open her own spa. Lady Moon is quite curious about the life and times of the first Lady Mooon, but she's a bit afraid to research the matter-- what if she was a horrible person? What would that mean for her? While she shares none of her memories, one could say her muck wraith shares her core, her soul, and learning such information could be a substantial blow to her morale. Perhaps it's best just to let the past die... |
