Gacrux | Navigator | They/Them

a fallen star, banished from the lightweaver's realm - which is where they landed when they fell - for abandoning their post in the night sky and their duty to shine, in favor of finally exploring up close the realm they'd longingly gazed down upon for so long.

curious, naive, compassionate, excitable, soft-hearted, empathetic, forgiving, optimistic.
very focused on whatever captures their interest & attention, to the point where they're unaware of consequence as though wearing metaphorical blinders.


  • gacrux has amnesia about their past; their first memory is the day elpie found them wandering near the sunportal. it's suspected that they slipped through from light territory, though how they managed to get past the clans guarding the archway is unknown - especially when they not only reflect every minor light source, but even seem to give off their own, in dim enough environments.
  • eager to help, they joined elpie as a guide when she asked them for directions and they both discovered that, apparently, gacrux has a perfect visual map of sornieth in their mind. they struggle to see it unless they have an exact destination, however, and are more familiar with large-scale places than smaller local landmarks. they're vaguely aware of ones obscured by shadow territory's dense forest cover.
  • eventually a scout from another clan did manage to track them. apparently they were seen - well, the clans didn't spot a dragon so much as a blaze of red light streaking through the arch and into the woods. when the scout finally caught up, a young squire who'd managed to weave through the underbrush faster than the older & larger rangers, elpie was quick to shut down his insistence of apprehending gacrux. the gaoler remembered a time long ago before she was frozen when any were free to travel through the arch as they pleased, and the apprentice found himself cowed in the face of the ancient, imposing hunter. he returned empty-clawed expecting a punishment, only to be excused by his higher-ups for some reason.
  • gacrux now flies ahead of the clan as they migrate, acting as a beacon with their natural luminance, lighting the way to the next destination. and if they get a strange sense of deja vu and nostalgia when they glance up at the stars for guidance as they fly, well, that's their business.
  • they have also become a close friend & confidant of elpie, having been one of the first dragons to stay by her side following her reanimation. she, too, was one of the first other dragons they saw and the first one to speak kindly to them at the point when their memories begin.

  • WIP. (add more here abt how gacrux is playing Emotions Coach to emery, and about how emery keeps gaxrux's origins a secret from them, or maybe add that on emery's profile idk. also there's gonna need to be mate lore for seneca, and hatchling lore for bindi if she stays)
