Betlinde

Betlinde was abandoned as an egg and hatched without the use of her light seeing eyes. Luckily, she was adopted by a local clan of Talonok, who hoped she would bring luck and prosperity to their clan and defend them from their rivals. She was raised with the complex traditions of Corven. She was also taught modified Raptorik fighting techniques, and learned to make the most of her limited flight. While she loved her clan, she was slowly overhunting her supply of meat in the area, and the wanderlust typical of her species began to gnaw at her: she knew she would have to leave. When a curious outsider came asking about Talonok culture, she saw an opportunity and offered to become his bodyguard.

Betlinde is the First Mate and supervises the rest of the crew. She is also in charge of manning the ship's cannons. Pirate attacks are common when you live on a ship filled with valuable historical artifacts treasure! Betlinde is generally cheerful and playful, but she's also devout and deadly serious when it comes to protecting her friends. She loves music and often hums while she works. She struggles with talking to dragons she hasn't met. She writes using heat emitting ink that Anvindr made for her. Otherwise she relies on braille to read. She keeps a look out for Tengu while she travels: as a dragon, she can resist their insanity and bring them home safely to their clans.
