Karura

After several unremarkable stops, Karura came to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, where the welcome she received was more than she expected - or bargained for. The overly-excitable Ayo was thrilled to have a brightly-colored visitor, and bounced around her, chattering her ear off. Then Ayo's bestie Aya joined them for twice the fun!!

The two wildly energetic girl friends wanted to do art projects with Karura, and since she couldn't get a word in edgewise, she rather helplessly acquiesced and was dragged off to their workspaces for painting and tie-dye - and rather messy painting and tie-dye at that: soon all three of them were spattered in bright colors (which may or may not have blended in with their own natural hides). And despite how overwhelming her introduction had been, and the messes they had made, Karura found to her surprise that she was laughing and enjoying herself.

Curious Paintbrush Dragonmade The pinion in this brush seems to release paint and ink intermittently, resulting in a line that shrinks and grows without intent; the curious part is that artists continue to use them at all! 53

She ended up creating quite a stack of paintings... too many to take with her. She chose her favorite to take with her and left the others in Aya's safekeeping, knowing that even if she never returned to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, her art would be there, decorating Aya's studio.

How fortuitous for this budding artist, then, that her next stop was at Clan Mavenlark. She had heard about life in the big city growing up - mostly in tones of worry and condescension from older folk in her clan who worried about safety a bit too much for her liking - and it sounded perfectly suited to what she was looking for on the traveling circuit. A clan full of artisans and salesdragons...what could be better?

Karura had never considered herself an artist, but the clawful of sales she made with locals at her stall (which she had begged an uninterested guard to legally erect last minute out of some abandoned pallets) begged her to think differently. Was there a career in this for her?


After her time in the city Karura set off to gather more experiences far and wide across the lands. As she traveled, she wandered into The Viridian Labyrinth - home of the nature dragons. There she happened upon a haphazard colony of fae and fae-inclined dragons. Life was simple with the Crystal Fern Colony, she helped where she was needed and spent many days with the fae. But after some time, her need to wander tugged at her heart, she said her goodbyes and set off into the world.
