The dusty pillars of the Sunbeam ruins were an exciting sight for a young curious mind who ventured far from home. Against his peers and elders, young Camael escaped away from their small clan in the sunbleached plains to go to the ruins and find treasured knowledge to share.

However when dangers arose, they would find themselves surprised at the Skydancer's skill in light magics. He was prepared for whatever dared face him-- as if he didn't want anything getting in his way of his many studies.

Indeed he even blended in with the scenery of the ruins, so in most cases he just needed to stay quiet. Soon he spent most of his time here... Then it was every day. Then he only returned to his clan once a week. Then... never. He stayed and slept amidst the fallen marble letting the voices of the lost whisper hymns into his ears.

That's how Vander found him. The clan patriarch had merely been taking a meditative walk through the ruins when he found the young adult dozing away in a pile of etched tablets. The pieces were lain in an organized mess around him, as if Camael were trying to put together a puzzle.

And when they awoke, Vander was no longer there. The tablets? Pieced together perfectly. And a note, beckoning the future scholar to come to northern ruins, where they would find a lair draped in hewn tapestries. This kind of intellect would be a loss if it faded away in the many papers that drifted through the forest.
